Hello. I'm 34 year old female and I'm interested to hear more about one drug that my doctor prescribed me recently.
Before that, I have developed some strange problems with all kind of allergies. I have never had any problems with this before but these last couple of month I have experienced several allergy-like attacks such as rush and difficulty breathing.
Doctor couldn’t find out what exactly is the trigger of my attacks but he told me that the reason could be lack of some hormones in body that are preventing this form happen. So he prescribed me this Prednisone! Is there anything important I should know about this drug?

Hello. I would really like to help you because there are a lot of important things person should know about drugs such as Prednisone.
Prednisone is one corticosteroid drug that, by chemical structure, is identical to one hormone called Cortisone.
Cortisone is very widely used in medicine because it is proven that it can control allergies, inflammation, and many other diseases and the truth is that Cortisone has effects on the entire body.
It can cause several side effects but people who are taking cortisones for short periods have no unpleasant side effects! However, the most common are insomnia, nausea, vomiting, or stomach upset, fatigue or dizziness, muscle weakness or joint pain, problems with diabetes control.

Prenesone? Hmmm,.. I think you misspelled it. The only drug I can relate to is prednisone and this one is influenced by oral contraceptives. Birth control pills increase the effectiveness of the prednisone. You may have to take a decreased dose. Talk to your doctor about it.
