I’m totally confused now. Many people told me that use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy can be very effective for many conditions. I’ve just decided to advise my friend who has certain health problems to try this therapy, when I heard that it’s not so good for everybody. Tell me pros and cons for oxygen therapy?

Hyperbaric oxygen has been shown ineffective in diseases such as multiple sclerosis and dementia, but it continues to be used despite the risks of the treatment. For conditions where its use remains unproved for example, rheumatoid arthritis and cirrhosis, oxygen should be used only in the context of well controlled clinical trials.
