My grandad, age 76 has been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes over 20 years ago and together with many other conditions that came with his age, he unfortunately developed a wound on his right foot. So far we did the best we could to stop the wound to progress to gangrene, with various treatments and not much success in the end, since his doctor told us at his last checkup that we should look for an appointment with orthopedic surgeon. Since grandad is too scared, reasonably, we’re still trying to look into any effective treatment that might delay this surgery, so that’s how I found info on hyperbaric oxygen therapy for diabetic wounds, but I can’t figure out if it’s available in the US and where?
