I have a 10 year old staffordshire bull terrier (Martha) I was chucking her ball for her and when she brought it back I realised she has a red lump in the roof of her mouth. It about the size of pound coin, and is very red. I am a little worried about it. She is drinking and eatting fine. She seemed to be a little down but I assumed this was due to the fact we just had our other dog put to sleep and Martha was missing her now I not so sure. Can anyone advise me please????? Should I take her to the vets?? I thought it maybe gum disease but all the pics I found of it seem to show the gum to be red around the teeth not on the roof of the mouth.
