Hi to you all! I am new to this forum and I have a question about this lump on the roof of my mouth! I just noticed it yesterday and because there is a family history of gum problems in my family, I am all paranoid now! I have to say that I feel resentful about the fact that I take really good care of my teeth all the time, and now I still get something like this! What should I do now?

I suspect that what you have is something called a canker sore, and they have absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you brush and floss. They are some kind of inflammatory disease, which is related to herpes in some way. I am sure you will be able to get some antibiotics for this, if you are worried.
