I can barely sit to do my school work anymore. I am a 43 year old Granmother of 5. I am in so much pain constantly that I can not sleep or sit. Is anyone else having this problem? I have had the harrington rod placed. Unfortunatly, I was in a car wreck and it broke.Injuring my back further. I now having degenerative dic disease as well as osteoarthritis. Amongst,the buldging herniated disc. No one in my area will operate. I have had 3 back surgeries and a spinal fusion. I am on neurontin 4 times a day at 800 mgs. I am also on vicodin 750 mg. Nothing seems to help. Is any experiencing this pain,if so, What are you doing to eliviate it? Thank you!:-)

Grannybeth, i know exactly what you mean. Surgery every couple years to keep things working is just part of my life. As for the pain...it sounds to me like you need to get with a really good pain clinic/doctor who will find the combination of meds that makes it tolerable. I found that if I could just get comfortable enough to sleep for even 4 or 5 hours, my days got gradually more productive. Anyway, I wish you the best.
