Sebaceous Prominence treatment

this is great, i thought i had aids or something. im 23 and i've had a good amount of unprotected sex without ever asking anyone what these things on my penis are (im an as****e, i know. i've had bumps on my penis since i was a virgin, give me a break). well, all these 15 year old kids are smarter than me for researching it and being open about it. way to go fellas, you helped me out too. i feel much more comfortable and confident with the information that i've learned on here. i'm smart enough to know cutting them out is a bad idea, but i'll give the benzoyl creams a try. do you guys leave the cream on or do you wash it off immediately?

"Ok, I decided to try a acne wash called zapzyt. It had some fancy "soothing" names and stuff so I bought it. Well, I rubbed some on the shaft of my penis, until the clear wash turned white. I did sections at a time, i put on a little every morning and night before showers. Do LITTLE sections at a time, and you will notice you will get rather itchy, that is because your skin on your penis peels. Disgusting? Maybe, but after that skin peels brand new smoother flesh is under this. You may still have some bumps under the flesh that has peeled off, just do it one more time on that spot.

I believe your method works coz i experienced same as you did when i used my acne treatment products to treat those hidious sebaceous prominence. First, the area of skin had the cream applied on got irritated and itchy, then next day that area got swollen. After 1-2 day the skin started to peel off, then i got newly baby-smooth skin. Same thing happened when I treated the acne on my face too (I did it b4 treating the sp on my penis). But one day after my face got swollen, there was nasty fluid came out. After the old skin peeled off, acne free.

I've heard very good things about Zapzyt.

I'm going to pick up a bottle and try it tomorrow. I'll let you guys know.

As for any sex issues, I've had blow jobs in somewhat dark places, and never has been an issue. I've had a girlfriend even comment on how "smooth" it was... though it clearly isn't. What I do is pull my foreskin back so the bumps are more at the base, usually they can't get that far with their lips.

With sex, I just use a condom and even in the brightest of days, you can't see it. I just roll it on when I still have my boxers on.

Don't let this be an issue in attempting something with a girl. I do the "I prefer the lights off" approach and it's awesome.

I've had these things since I was about 13, and I'm 20 now. They keep coming slowly and I've got 3 larger ones bumps which bug me the most.

Also, if you're going to cut them out, use a sharp razor, and cut along the diameter just to cut the skin enough.... take out the white solid thing, and let it heal. I've heard this works, but it's a little too extreme for me.

For anyone that's interested, I'm going to see a proper cosmetic doctor next week about these as they can apparently be surgically removed under a local anaesthetic. If it even costs me 2 grand, it will be a bargain :-D

Wow! There are many smart kids out there! I have had this problem for years, never had any pain so didn't really know what to think. i could always remember throughout my teenage years just freaking out about it. Then after being with several women and long term relationships, not one ever mentioned it. Now i know what it really is. Super relieved, thought i was gonna die young or somethin'. XD

Hello I am an MD who has sebaceous prominence since I was a teen. Although this is a fairly normal and harmless disorder if you must try to get ridpf it, I suggest that you don't try to perform any type ofsirgry on yourself or pop them because you will only achieve scarring. In my opinion I think that you guys should tryacnemedications along with hydrogen peroxide to lessen the degree of the bumps. Also use only the soothing exfoliating treatments and not the harsher ones that dry out the skin. Your foreskin is very delicate and dryness will only increase more sebum production, it's the body's natural lubricant.

I am 25, and have had SP since I was 12. I didn't even know what it was until today. I have never had a girl comment on it, or even seem to notice. Apparently, there are a lot of us out there with this problem. There is absolutely no reason to mutilate yourself to get rid of this. I would rather be self-conscious about it than get an infection. Ever heard of gangrene? It's better to have something no one notices than to have scars or your pecker fall off.

When I first noticed these as a young man I was reminded of "smegma" (its in the dictionary, look it up). We used to call each other names, and tthis was one of them.

If you have a pimple like thing on your shaft, you will find with LIGHT pressure a hardish white substance will squeeze out. No blood, no popping, it just squeezes out if you apply like pressure. They come back over time, but they are not from sex.... just oil from your glands. You will have them your whole life from time to time. As long as there is no pain, or discharge from your penis when you urinate or the other then its nothing. I am not a doctor, just a male who found these 20 years ago and have find it easiest to deal with them in the shower...that way you clean the area real good to avoid infection. Mine have never bled, I would never try scissors like the guy posted above, light pressure is all I have done. I guess to cover my bases I should say try at your own risk, seek medical attention if you are concerned. I never have though. Again, I find one every few months.

I also noticed I was developing SP around the age of 14-15. I was verys elf conscious about it but to all the virgins worried about it, dont be. I have yet to have any girl mention it and I am 24 now... but on to the good stuff

I developed really bad acne when I turned 20, never had it previously in my life and nothing would cure the darn stuff. Nothing. Tried all the different products and gels and scrubs and everything.

I begand doing research into holistic medicine and spoke with some female friends of mine. One of my friends sisters just happened to work in a beauty salon in LA and she told me about what they use out there.

Most all acne meds are either peroxide, salacylic acid, or alcohol. Or some combination of the three. Peroxide is easy to get, alcohol is obviously easy to get, salacylic acid is not (it is sulfuric acid) though.. salacylic acid is in asprin...

So, what is the cure that I used for my acne? And later my SP?

What she told me to do is get a bottle of Witch hazel ($2) and a little bottle of tea tree oil ($7)

Put about 12 drops of tea tree oil in per 8 oz of witch hazel. The witch hazel itself is an astringent (see; dries your skin out) but the tea tree oil seems to stop it from burning or blistering... yet it still has the same effect under the skin.

I use a spray bottle to apply it to my back and other hard to reach areas... and cotton swabs to apply it to my face, neck, and shaft of my penis in the morning when I wake up and after I take a shower in the evening.

The witch hazel itself has a kindof strong.. chemical odor.. to it but the tea tree oil completely masks that as well. It actually smells kinda pleasant, like eucalyptus leaves or something.

It nearly cleared up my acne completely (which was totally amazing to me since NOTHING on the market worked. Even $60 a bottle sh*t) and my SP has all but disappeared.

I know how it feels gentlemen, luckily I learned what they were quite a few years back so I didn't have that horrible STD cloud over my ehad for quite as long as some.. but I did live with it for a while.

(Also, I have heard good reviews on the C02 laser treatments, even for the more extreme pearly penile papules. So if all else fails that is a vaible option I havn't seen many people mention but all who do say it works perfectly. As for me, mine is all but a memory.)

For a few years I was kinda to scared find out what it was, I thought it was like testicular cancer or something, or thought i picked up some crazy std from a public restroom or something... After some research in high school when my hormones started going nuts I found out that, IT'S PERFECTLY NORMAL. Okay seriously don't mess with them... It's purely cosmetic, and every guy has it to a certain extent just some are more noticeable than others... Don't let it effect your confidence when going after girls... I mean i've been with a few and they didn't even notice (girls don't tend to wanna look at that area much...) After being with a few girls I had a gf for 2 years and guess what I did? I told her about it- honestly the best thing you can do is tell your ' partner ' about it show them this site, find other sites... It's not that big of a deal... TALK ABOUT IT!!! And if your REALLY worried about how it looks- try Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser on your ' area '... Keep yourself clean down there, and most importantly DRY... I know your turned on, but keep masturbation down to once every few days guys... Especially if you use lotions- they make your skin oily... But use that Clean & Clear on your junk when you shower. (don't use to much it's strong stuff) It'll make them almost vanish... And try using oil-free moisturizers because that stuff will make your skin dry out like crazy...
