I took Yasmin for nearly 2 years. The whole time I was miserable. At first I was nauseous, dizzy, tired, and thirsty all the time. Then, I started getting really depressed. I stopped taking it three weeks ago after finishing my pack, and I have felt severe nausea ever since. Is this common? Also, I heard a lot about people not having periods for months after stopping the pill. Is that normal too?

This post is probably too late for you, but if someone else is experiencing similar anxiety related to post-pill symptoms, perhaps I can offer some encouragement. I stopped taking the pill in mid-June and had read so many discouraging internet statements about delayed menses. Well, all was on time for me. I charted two different dates on which I thought I had ovulated. Sure enough, I was exactly fourteen days from one of them and only thirty days from the day I stopped taking the pill. One of the downsides associated with the first menses post-pill -- extreme nausea. I have lost all appetite and feel like I can't stand up straight from the nausea. Hang in there!

Thank you for your post that really helps because I just got off of Yasmin as well and I have been extremely nauseous which has decreased my appetite significantly. I have also been suffering from a very bad headache that doesnt seem to want to go away. All in all I am happy that I stopped Yasmin just waiting to see when these symptoms go away.

Hi, i've been taking yasmin for 2 months now and have been feeling tired, nauseous, dizzy and at a loss of appetite the entire time! It really is aweful and i'm going to stop taking the pill starting tomorrow. I really hope this lifeless feeling goes away.
