First of all, most every person masturbates sometimes, as to how much it depends on the person. some people hardly ever do others 5,6,7 times a day!! Especially in their teen years when hormones rage. perhaps the reason you have a sudden urge to watch more porn and masterbate more is because of where you are in puberty. when did you start going through puberty? As for an addicton, what normally counts as an addiction is when the activity interfears with your daily life and prevents you from functioning normally. If you can not get school work done or loose interest in other activities which you use to find enjoyable then perhaps you have an issue with addiction but in your case it doesn't sound like it.

Hi honey! At 15 you are starting to peak while going through puberty! From the sounds of it, you have probably been going through the change for a couple of years already! Remember this, the brain is the biggest sex organ and when you are being CONTINUALLY stimulated by watching and listening to images of porn this affects your brain, which sends out your sex hormone - progesterone/testosterone! So you masturbate! It is a Catch 22! So my advice to you is this, don't watch porn - believe me at 15 you wont need it!!! And try to concentrate more on other activities, and only masturbate when needed!

Lately there is a LOT of talk about sex addiction! Especially since it is now a show on TV! What you have to remember is this! Virtually ALL of those people addicted to sex, have had other addictions, they mostly have had TERRIBLE abuse and neglect in their lives! And they can't connect OR OVER connect to people! They NEED to fill a void - just like an addiction to pills, booze, gambling etc. They are desperate to "connect" with someone and always feel empty! This is not something that happens overnight or when your body is PUMPED FULL of hormones! This is from years of being narcasistic and EMPTY!!! So don't start going there OK? It's easy to put a label on yourself - especially when it's in your face and on tv everyday!

You just have to know that masturbation is normal and healthy! As a mother of a 14 and a 17 year old boy, I tell my boys ALL the time that there is NOTHING to be ashamed of regarding masturbation BUT I draw the line at porn! I caught my 17 year old once looking at pictures of a young girl with long black hair slumped over a bed! He tried to log off and I stopped him! I showed him the picture and what was really going on! The girls face was away from the camera and the guy that was "doing it" was this gross old guy! I told him that this is probably a picture of a VERY young Asian girl that has been sold to a dirty old pedophile and they take pictures of these young girls being RAPED! There is no other word for it! The industry for these degenerates is HUGE business! And I want you to be aware of JUST what you are watching! There are SOME girls that do this because they want too, but let me tell you honey! The majority are MADE - either by financial, emotional, physical, drug battery! So don't buy into it OK! And whatever you do, don't help the industry out! Because you will NEVER know if those girls on there are doing it because they want to be an "actress" OR they are doing it because it's either that or they die!!!!! OK? Sorry to be the downer, but you have to realize about this disgusting side of "ADULT" porn!

Also on the down side of watching and looking at too much porn, this ISN'T REAL!!! It's fake, it's staged and poorly acted! So whenever you do get with a girl, you will need MORE to be able to have a sexual relationship, and NO regular person - even the actors in the films - do that normally OK?

I would just want to warn you about some things that I have read today. If you want to be sexually active you really have to be careful. Among teenage girls living in U.S. cities, about half acquire at least one of three common sexually transmitted infections -- chlamydia, gonorrhea or trichomoniasis -- within two years of becoming sexually active, a new study has found.

Hear Hear John! In a city to the north of us Syphillis has increased by 2000%!!!! In 5 years! Next to AIDS Syphillis is one of the worst! And boys as young as 15 have been found with it!! I have always been an advocate for showing teenagers actual pictures of what can happen when you get an STD'/STI! I have told my sons - especially my eldest - that ALWAYS ALWAYS use a condom! The unfortunate thing about that is that a condom cant stop ALL STD's/STI's - as in genital warts! As a mother of 2 boys I FREAK more about STD's then them actually getting a girl pregnant - I know that sounds crazy! BUT the way I see it, after the shock wears off, the baby would be welcomed and loved. But to know that your childs life could actually be in danger and they will have this disease for the rest of their life, THAT is the worst to me out of the 2.

I counsel MANY teenagers on here, and I am ASTOUNDED by the total and utter lack of knowledge of sexual health! It is like the more that is out there - such as internet, school, social networking etc - the less they know! When I was about 13 we had the "film" showing what is happening, with girls in meadows on swings!!!!! And then they had cartoon Captain Syphillis!!!!!! I swear!!!! We thought it was funny, just like those commercials where there is mucus?! EXACT same! So how in heavens name are we supposed to take something SO devestating as Syphillis as serious!? Now IF they showed just regular people dealing with their illness's and ACTUAL photographs, that's another thing which I think will get to teenagers more! They have shows now - to me kind of glorifying it - about 16 and pregnant! And there is towns where girls are trying to become pregnant!!! I DO NOT get that at all! It is insane to me! Even though they show these girls having a hard time - they still have their hair done and driving pretty nice cars!! And I'm like "That is not realistic!!" Most teenage moms take the bus! And a HUGE percentage of them are left alone to bring up their children! It's time that society did a big wake up call to our youth and REALLY helped them understand about the TRUE consequences of SEX!

I don't know if it's just because I recently found this site and am seeing all the questions here from young people who are so mis or un informed. It appears to me that with all the "sex" education that supposedly has come into our schools since I was a kid when there was NONE, there is surprisingly little knowledge among our young people.

I can't think of another area of our lives that is so important to having a happy and enjoyable life than the sexual relationship between couples and having a good knowledge of our sexual anatomy and it's functioning.

We teach arithmatic from the very beginning, and progress to more involved mathmatics as the years go by. Why shouldn't we begin with the basics of our bodies and progress in the same way throughout school? Waiting until high school is like trying to teach Some may say the early years are too soon but I was 8 when the two neighbor girls came up with "girls have two biscuits and boys have a bat and two balls" and they wanted to see. That would have put me in the 3d grade when we began checking each other out. It might have been nice to have had some actual knowledge about what we were looking at ---- and touching. Because we were certainly checking at that age.

Totally! We are ALL animals, sexuality is the same for us as is eating, drinking, sleeping! EVERY animal on this planet does it! And yet our children know SO little about it! I was told I could become pregnant from a toilet seat!!!!! That's because my mom was told that by her mother! I have always been SO open with my boys sometimes they look like this o.O :$ %-) And Sometimes it's me, BUT I would rather have those awkward moments inside and answer all that my boys are asking, the them being TOTALLY misinformed by their Testosterone filled friends telling fibs about their sizes and conquests! I have counselled so many young boys on here that worry they have EDS They don't they just think that they are supposed to be like these guys on tv and in videos etc. And then they listen to their buddies who say outrageous things to them - and the facts are that they feel the exact same way! The way to do this - as a parent - is to sit there looking like this :-) while inside we are like this o.O %-) ! ! So the children know it's OK to ask away! And these same children need to know that WAITING to have sex is TOTALLY and utterly OK? And should be encouraged - I'm not talking about abstinance, because over all this doesn't work on an educational basis - but as parent to child, so this instills this from a VERY young age, that even though we ARE sexual and it is OK to touch ourselves, masturbate, be interested in Insies and Outsies, it is PERFECTLY fine to wait to have sex! They might not listen of course, BUT they JUST might surprise you and take that in and be ok with it!

I remember that toilet seat thing. Don't you love some of things they told us just to get rid of us? My mother told me they went to the hospital to get me. I'm just curious about why you were the one to talk to your boys. Actually I think it's better that way. I only have boys and my wife did all the talking. I would have felt quite comfortable having those conversations with a daughter but not so much with sons. I'm just curious if you feel that way too? I mean you'd rather discuss sex with your son than with a daughter?

They are very lucky to have a mom like you. It is probably more a generational thing but I wish my mother could have talked with me like that. She was amazingly good about some things though, considering I grew up in the dark ages.

You are so right, there is no need to rush to have sex, no matter what the other young idiots say they are doing. They are probably lieing. Holding, touching lovingly, and fondling, is great fun and it's good training for foreplay. I think there may be many more virgins around than we think, of both sexes. They just won't admit it, almost like admitting to masturbation. My wife won't admit she ever masturbated, but she KNEW exactly where to put my fingers.
