Well the only reason I replied like that is because you sound quite certain you have an STD and too many people do not get it taken care of. Thats why we have a problem with them in the first place. Unless I knew the symptoms I couldn't even begin to tell you if it was something to worry about. To be honest STD's range from easy to handle, to horrible and life changing. Chances are if it is something you thought you could possibly contract orally then I would say it is herpes or warts, neither which are life threatening. They can be treated with medication, but never cured ( at least not yet). However, most STD's can be cured. So just go get it taken care of! You will never stop wondering what's wrong if you don't. Its not worth it! And I'm sorry for scaring you.

To me it sounds like a yeast infection and not an STD at all, however, Gonorrhea often mimics the effects of a yeast or vaginal infection. If it is Gonorrhea it's really not that much to worry about. Once you go to the clinic the will do a quick test, give you an antibiotic to drink there and may give you a cream of sorts to deal with the vaginal irritation. Gonorrhea one of the most common STD's out there and is easily cured, though you will not be able to have sex or awhile. If you had protected sex then you most likely could not have gotten it. Regardless, though you should always use a condom and you should always supply it, so you know the condition the condom has been kept in (the are easily weakened). If it is a yeast infection they will direct you to some over the counter creams to apply and if it is a bacterial infection then they will also give you an antibiotic. Either way it sounds like everything is okay. But definitely goto the gynecologist because you do not want to try and treat it as a yeast infection first, you could make yourself more miserable. Hope this helps!
