My 82 yr old father received MRI report with chronic sml vessel ischemic changes and atrophy of hippocampal formation. Is this "long hand" for Ahlzheimers? Has experienced aphasia, memory loss, changes in personality (anger, depression.)
Has nitro for heart, recently recd. stents for heart. Takes Plavix and Zanax - maybe other meds.

Any suggestions for better meds or treatment. He lives in St. Petersburg, FL, any suggestions for good geriontologist and/or neurologists?
