Hello, All. I have a question regarding vaginal discharge during menses. On the second day of my period, I noticed a strange looking fleshy discharge on my feminine napkin--it looked like snail (gross!). I thought it was a blood clot , but upon further inspection I noticed it was actually skin. It was also quite large about and inch and a half. Can anyone tell me what that was? Was it just tissue lining shedding? I'm quite concerned because I have never experienced anything like this before. I'm 37, and sadly, have never had a pap smear before. Also, I get REALLY painful periods; severe cramping to the point of tears. Any help/insight would be much appreciated. THANKS!

I’m 46 and this JUST happened to me. Really wish there was a reply if this is normal or if I need to get checked by my doc.
