i'm kind of amazed that this thread has been going since 06, withouth anyone actually answering the question. anyway... it sounds like what MOST of you are describing is "penile oedema". you can copy and paste that in a google search for more official info... but from my understanding, you may all rest easy. it is not cancer. it does not mean that you have an STD. (also doesn't mean you don't) and it should return to normal on it's own. i am NOT a doctor. i'm not trying to give any medical advice. just trying to put most of you at ease.

I have swelling on the skin of the shaft wall right below the head. What's the cause of this? I can't roll up my foreskin (because the swollen skin obstructs it). And how does the swelling go down? It hasn't gone down by itself so far.

Hey guys, I have the answers!

The swelling is normal, it is a result of an erection that lasts longer than normal. This usually happens during your age group when foreplay lasts a long time. I personally have experienced this swelling and it does go away, usually by the next day. I would also like to say that it would happen along with ''blue balls'' which basically feels like a super low stomach ache. <- That will go away a few hours after ejaculation.

There's no medical concern for you, unless your skin becomes broken (like a cut) as a result of the swelling.
