Am homosexual and am having unprotected sex with a single partner only. And both of us were being tested and we are free of any STD. The question is, are we in risk of contracting syphilis? I have read an article in the internet saying that the most percentage of people having syphilis is between man to man. It is very important for me to know an answer. Anyone?

Neither syphilis nor any other STD is created out of the blue. There is nothing about sex between men that creates a nonexistent infection. Somebody has to bring the infection into the relationship, so if neither of you had syphilis when you started your relationship and neither of you has sex with other people, there is no risk. Syphilis is much more common in gay men than in straight people, but there are some areas where heterosexual syphilis remains common.
