Hi, I have tingling sensation in my testicles. It's quite frequent in the past week, and used to happen here and there randomly during the past few months.
During this time I also had very mild pain usually in my left testicle. This happened on for a consistent while and then off for a while and on again. Now it's not there.
In the more recent part of this period, maybe like a few weeks now, I also notice that my morning erections and spontaneous erections are less frequent. The quality of the erections is still pretty good but slightly less than before. And it takes slightly longer time to get erected and shorter time to go back to normal size after ejaculation. So I can say there's a general decrease in libido.
There's no pain or burning / itching in my penis, no urination problem, and no weird new fluid coming out of my penis.
When I first had the left testicle pain, I self-examined and found my left testicle to be larger and was worried of a tumor. I had it checked by a doctor and he found nothing and said the pain is probably random (I didn't have much tingling back then so we didn't discuss that). The pain was always pretty mild, and the tingling never hurts (but is kinda annoying and worrisome when coupled with the decrease in penis power).
Along the way (after i started having testicle pain) I had unprotected oral sex from a girl and heavy kissing and rubbing (but no sex). But most of the symptoms, probably all, were already there, just without less frequency.
I am also under good deal of stress and generally feel tense (especially in my neck), have mild sleeping problems, and am anxiety prone and tend to worry about symptoms thinking I have an awful condition (tumor, STD, etc.). But I'm not making these symptoms up, that's for sure.
I know there's no single test for all STDs, but do you think I should get tested for anything specific on the basis of this. Or should I go to doctor for some other reason?
Any advice is much appreciated, thanks a lot.

The best thing to do is go to an urologist and tell him about your symptoms, just like you wrote it here.
When you first went to see your doc, what did he do? Did he only feel your testicles or did you have an ultrasound done as well?
I suppose you already know that having one testicle slightly larger that the other is perfectly normal. All guys have it like that.
Considering you don’t have any additional symptoms I don’t think that something’s the matter but hey I can’t tell you anything without seeing your testicle. (besides, I am not sure I would want to touch other guys’ testicles, hehe-just joking).
Anyway, I had some testicular problems myself. It was an inflammation of epididymis and I had swelling, pain, and the symptoms were sudden and strong, so they don’t resemble yours much. It was a bacterial infection.
As for this tingling and erection decrease I would suspect prostatitis, but I am almost certain that you would also get other more devastating symptoms.
And I keep thinking that the decrease in erections is because you are thinking way too much about these symptoms and not because you are actually having problems.
You don’t have any discomfort during masturbation/sex, do you?

Hey, thanks a lot for your reply. When I went to the doctor, he checked my testicles carefully himself (made me cough and stuff like that) but he did not get ultrasound, etc. (it's the student health center, so they don't easily do that kinda thing there).
Also, I had the contact with this girl I mentioned 2.5 months ago. So I'm starting to think an STD would have caused more symptoms already. But just in case, I'm going to get screened for STDs -because I've never done that in my life and there's a girl I like now, and I don't want to kiss her before I know I'm clean.
I haven't had sex after I got these symptoms but I don't have any problems masturbating or ejaculating.
I guess if the STD tests don't show anything, I'll see if the tingling persists and get referral for a urologist.

Hi! That’s a smart thing to do. The worst thing about STD’s is that most of them don’t show any symptoms, especially in guys, so we can go around without even knowing we have it until we decide to have it checked for curiosity or when other problems show up.
Anyway, hope everything goes well at the doc’s and good luck with that girl!

If you notice any sensation of "dragging" in your testicles, such as they feel heavier or more massive but don't physically look bigger, it could be a varicocele.
It's a condition prevalent in about 1 out of every 5 to 6 men; basically, valves in the veins that drain blood from your testicles can sometimes fail, and over time the mass of veins in one side or the other (over 90% in the left testicle) dilate and swell beyond what they normally should be.
Other symptoms besides a dragging sensation can be mild to moderate pain in the scrotum or in the lower abdomen. If your left testicle feels like it's surrounded by a "bag of worms," it could also be a varicocele.
The only way to correct the problem is surgery, but for most men it causes no discomfort. It can cause the affected testicle to atrophy (shrink) and affect fertility.
I would suggest going to a doctor and asking for an ultrasound if it persists.

I'm having a very similar problem. Did you ever find out what the problem was? I had an ultrasound and it didn't show anything. Did you try antibiotics? And if so, did they help?
Thanks in advance.

I would suggest you see an Endocrinologist. 90% of our testosterone is produced in the testes so if you have minimal amounts floating around in your body continuously for years on end. Eventually your testes will start to get tired of having to work so hard to produce sperm and maintain normal testosterone levels.
Sperm contains testosterone which would equals your entire body health as well as your erections and what not. What I would do to fix that tingling is stop masturbating for 7-14 days. By then your testosterone will go up a lot. Trust me I had the tests done and if you wait 10 days. Your Sex Hormone Binding Globulin will go up and your testes will be loaded with only 1/32 of your optimum normal health levels of testosterone. Your testicles will be larger, and harder.
Lastly obviously your erections will be a lot bigger and better feeling. I am seeing an endocrinologist and my testosterone is very low and after 10 days it went up to the very bottom of the normal level. I can 100% guarantee that if you stop masturbating, you will say bye bye to your testicle discomfort. Since I am in the same situation as you man. It sucks. If only we could dial in to improving and eliminating the discomftable by ultimately dial out of masturbating for 90 days at a time. At the same time you'll notice the quality of life will improve. However addictions are tough and they seem to always bring us back. It's because of porn honestly.
If you look at statistics of males of any age and there testosterone levels over time. Since as far back as testosterone has been accurately tested for. Back then when internet porn did not exist the average young male had testosterone 5 times greater than the average today. In the past 10-15 years the percentage of males average testosterone levels have been steadily decreasing slowly and surely.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my first post. I'd be happy to talk about it more if you guy's have any questions.

I have the same thing too, I had a course of antibiotics recently for pain in my testicles and swollen lymph nodes around the area and they did nothing, including that the tingling didn't subside. The guy making the point about regular masturbation might be correct but I keep reading that testicular tingling is rooted in prostate issues.

The prostate gland is what's responsible for your ejecuations and taking a piss. So the more it's stimulated, it becomes sore and actually starts to swell. The organ's health is in a degraded state. At that point things like cancer are hugely probable in time. So it's important to dial in to what your doing and try to change it completely. I honestly hope the president bans free porn on the internet and have it only be paysites. I mean I have a girlfriend but porn isn't good for anyone but the people making money off of it.

You can take zoloft to make you stop masturbating as long as your devoted mentally. You can then wanna get out and meet some girls. It happened to me when I stopped for 90 days. I got with this 10 model from a small town but she was unreal hot.

ok chris, im gonna try your no masturbation routine (god help me). i got the ball tingle thing goin on too and i cant help but wonder WTF? i want kids someday! it began after i developed epididymitis about two months ago. i was given antibiotics to fix the left nut pain and discomfort it was causing but they didnt help. two weeks ago the pain just went away on its own but there are definitely lingering affects. about a week later (one week ago) my balls started to tingle. things just arnt the same down there anymore. there is a tiny bit of discomfort when servicing myself but not when ejaculating. it seems like ive got a fluxuating labido and i dont like it.
i really hope your no masturbation guarantee pays off. there are two things i want right now..a fixed nut sack and a hot girlfriend. i'll take either on at this point but if i get both, i owe u bigtime. thx for your post and wish me luck. peace brother
