I am having an abdominal surgery on December 3rd.  The day of my surgery I will be blood tested to see if I have quit smoking.  I have been told they check nicotine and cotinine levels in your blood.  Does anyone know how long I have to not smoke in order to pass this test?  They told me 21 days, but I was wondering if it's a strict 21 days or are there any other ways to pass this test?  Any information will be greatly appreciated!!!
