My Dr. had me taking zoloft because I started experiencing such moods swings and switched to rhovane. Anyway I have stopped taking the zoloft and now am trying to quit the rhovane because of the weight gain and insomnia. I was wondering if anyone else out there has experienced weight gain due to taking rhovane and/or insomnia. Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't taken rhovane, but I am person with insomnia. I advise you Trazodone. It has helped me tremendously with my sleep, and at the same time lost weight. The weight loss was mainly due to decrease in appetite and digestive upset which were side effects of Trazodone when I first started, but once my body adjusted to the Trazodone the side effects went away. Everyone is different, so it’s just a suggestion. Ask your doctor about switchimg you from rhovane to Trazodone.
