I just had my tummy tuck April27th. The only thing that bothers me is that it looks like i have a fat roll right above the incision and while a few days ago it was soft it seems to be harder today when I pressed on it. I know swelling is normal but I am just wondering if the "roll" should be hard or if that is normal as well?

Thanks so much

Hey soccermom, Did you just do the tuck or abdomnioplasty? Is there pain, heat or redness? If so then call the Doc cause it could be an infection. If not, I will say, BE PATIENT! I remeber when mine was done and I thought "it should look better than this!" It takes months and months for the swelling to decrease and the tissue to recoil. I thought they were full of ca-ca when they said I wouldn't really enjoy it for 6 months, well they were right! I thought I looked best a year later & every year it looks more sculpted & defined. Best confidence boost I could have given myself! Be patient. If 3 months pass and & you are still concerned, then say so! I had a skin pouch that formed from the where the sides were stiched and the Doc did'nt hesitate to redo it. Good luck :-D
