I'm 16 years old and about a year ago i woke up at night with a severe stomach pain. Then the next month or so i was fine, but after a while exactly the same happened. At first i thought it was due to stress, but i have been quite relaxed and had no stress for a long time. However i still get these stomach pains maybe once a month. They last for about 2 hours and it feels like i have to vomit, but i never do. When they first started i was still able to find a comfortable position to sleep in but now it seems impossible to fall asleep again. What can it be and how can i prevent it from happening? They are really unbearable.

I'm not sure what it is either but I experience the same thing. I've found that standing upside down with feet up against the wall or door or if you have an inversion table, that has seemed to help me the most. It could be a pocket or bubble of gas that has somehow been moved or shifted to a painful spot. When you flip upside down, you might feel pressure shift and have to put feet back on floor and try a few times b4 it moves. If this is the problem, avoid drinking from straws or anything abnormal with your breathing before bed. Hope this helps! Sorry it's a year after your original post:(
