unprotected sex between birth control packets could i have got pregnant?

 i was taking levest combined contraception pills for a couple of months but had a lot of bad side effects so stopped taking it for a couple of weeks till i could go back to my doctor and switch to a different make (im now taking gedarel). during those 2 weeks i wasnt taking the pill i had unprotected sex a couple of times about a 2 weeks after i got my period but i felt fine after so didnt think i was pregnant and started taking the new contraceptive pills. its now been about 2 weeks since unprotected sex and ive been taking the pill for about a week and the last week and a half the whole time on and off im feeling really sick (but haven't actually thrown up) and im also getting headaches, bloating and my breasts feel really heavy. im not due for my period for another week is it too early to take a pregnancy test?could i be pregnant or are the side effects from the pill? (i think the feeling sick may have started before i started the new pill but im not sure!!!!!)
