Hi, I am 24, I have two children and have been with my husband for 8 years. The last two months I have been having weird, definitely not normal vaginal discharge for me and no sign of a period. My last period was beginning of March. The discharge is very slight, but tannish in color, sometimes pink and is odorless. It seems to come every second day or so, and is mostly noticed when using the washroom. I have no other symptoms, and my vaginal area is not itchy or anything, and the discharge doesn't bother me at all. I am not sure what is going on. I am currently not on any birth control and haven't been since about 6 years, and my husband and I have been using durex condoms as a substitute. If anyone is experiencing simular discharge, or has any suggestions, please reply. Thanks. %-)

Anyways, there is something I want to tell you but wouldn’t want to scare you away as this is not that nice thing to hear, and is the matter of the possibility that you might have developed the ectopic pregnancy. It has the similar symptoms like a normal pregnancy but to be on a safe side, you just need to have the ultrasound of your uterus done. And don’t be alarmed already, have the US done the first and then you will know what is it all about. You don’t miss a chance to make the appointment with your gynecologist really soonish.

I thought that prehaps is could be a hormonal imbalance as I have been breastfeeding my latest child for the past 11 months and in March started to somewhat wean my child. However what is confusing me is that I have had my period since my child was 5 months old, everything seemed normal each month except it lasted about a day or so longer than before the pregnancy. Then end of March the discharge came instead of my period and everyday day since. Stopping for a week, at the beginning of May, then starting again. Since May 15 my child has been completely weaning off breastfeeding. This is my second pregnancy. After my first childs birth, I had an absence of period for the entire 11 months I breastfed him, and it remained absent for six months following him being weaned. I did not have any bleeding or discharge once so ever. Do you know if it is normal to have this kind of discharge after weaning? Or having irregular periods after weaning? Please Advise me.
Thanks for your help.

It doesn’t matter if you had your periods already after giving birth, you may be ovulating during some months and then not ovulate during another.
This is because breastfeeding ( milk production) makes pituitary gland make more prolactin (hormone released when breastfeeding), high levels of prolactin send a message to the brain to stop or decrease egg production, so sometimes you may ovulate, sometimes you don’t, you may even ovulate but not have periods. Your discharge is probably proving this.
It could be due to hormones, and it most likely it is. I wouldn’t call it a hormonal imbalance because it sounds like a disorder but it’s not, it’s just how things go.
If you notice other strange symptoms, make sure you see a doc!
