I have had vaginal swelling and lots of clear/light white discharge for the last 3 weeks. There is no itching and only some burning at times. I am going to see my doctor but can't until next week. I have some mild lower back pain and don't know what is going on as it is not your typical symptoms of a yeast infection.

As per your symptoms, Thrush infection you have. It is not dangerous infection. Some of its symptoms are i) a drugs like steroids which you are still taking which resistance to infection ii) If you having diabetes, due to diabetes if blood sugar levels are too high , you having ill due to any reason otherwise if you scratch, vulva and vagina is sore for this reason.

It could be Bacterial Vaginosis, but never heard of back pain being associated with that. It could be an STD such as Chlamydia, or pregnancy, or PID. I hope you find out soon and relieve your pain. :)
