this is quite embarassing but i have noticed a thick, yellow/white, horrible smelling discharge on my inner labia and it is also extremely itchy. i have never had sex before so it can't be an std. i asked my sister and she tells me that it could be a yeast infection or baterial vaginosis? she also tells me to go to the doctor but i am too chicken, i'd like to cure it on my own if i can... any ideas what this is?

it sounds to me like a std but since you said that youve never had sex before probably a little impossible but i had a yeast infection but the instructions on the paper says that if you have an odor to your discharge see a doctor i am not really sure that yeast infection give off smelly discharge there is over the counter stuff that you could buy to cure yeast infections such as monistat3 but i think its better off for you to see a doctor it could be p.i.d do you have any pain in your pelvis? you should think about your health and not how embarrising it is and go see a gynocologist anything is possible and you dont want to buy and take medication for something you dont have.

It is quite likely that it is thrush or B.V. Sorry, but you do need to go to the doctor as the treatment is different for each. I know it is embarassing, but remember that the gyn/doctor has seen the same thing many times before.

definitely bacteria vaginosis you can try acodophilous vitamins to restore healthy bacteria in the vagin but unfortunately it is no longer just a yeast problem the smell is caused by the infected spot in you vagina and it needs antibiotics to cure it if you dont get the antibiotic you could get more serious complcations like PID that causes even more problem so do your body right and get antibiotics.us take care
