The same with me! I just keep gaining, about 10lbs so far and no period after 6 weeks. Did your weight ever go back to normal?

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with these symptoms! I was beginning to think something was wrong with me. I was only on the pill for 9 weeks and had to be taken off because I was loosing yay vision and sense of smellEvict what's been about 2 weeks now and I am still incredibly bloated. Other symptoms have gone down, why isn't this? I figured after I got my period off the wouldn't would go down but it hasn't yet. Does anyone know how long this will last????

Hi nikki how are you?
I read your post and it sounds just like me minus the periods which I haven't had since stopping micron or in February this year. I'm glad there is light at the end of the tunnel. How are you now? I'm finding the bloating hard and the weight gain as I used to be a lot slimmer. Pills certainly mess the body up don't they.
Regards
Laura

4 weeks in and I am 8lbs heavier then when I started OMG not good and feel very deflated!!!
I am going on holiday to Cuba in 4 weeks and no way am I going to fit into any of my clothes ever with going to the gym 4 times a week and cutting out all booze :(
Apparently it can take 3-6 months for your body to right itself but at the grand old age of 34 I know it takes twice as much hard work to keep/ get weight off than in my 20's and if I keep going at this rate I will be 2 stone heavier by then too
any words of wisdom from anyone out there

The same thing happened to me. I came off Microgynon 30 nearly 2 years ago and I've never had a massive issue with weight gain whilst on the pill. I could usually eat what I wanted and still be slim or if I dieted weight would drop off pretty quickly. My friend suggested my occasional mood swings might be due to the pill (had been on it for nearly 10 years) and so I changed pills and gained so much weight. I also tried not taking the pill at all and tried different pills to see if that helped including Microgynon 20 hoping a lower dosage might help; I was no longer moody but was always tired, bloated and generally unhappy due to my weight gain. During the past 2 years I've tried everything to get the weight off that was slowly but surely creeping up, I ate healthily and exercised on average 6 times a week and yet I'd gone from 9 stone to nearly 12 stone by eating even less than I used to! Eventually I just decided to go back on Microgynon 30 a month ago as it's the only thing that's changed and even after just few weeks my clothes are getting looser and I fit back into shorts I haven't been able to wear even after restrictive diets. I've been eating more carbs than usual and have at least 1 pizza a week and although being generally healthy and going to the gym regularly, I still am eating more than I have before and losing weight without trying too hard. I'm concerned for when I want try to have kids as the weight gain really gets me down and don't want to have to be on this pill forever just to maintain a healthy weight. Surely there's another answer. I've told many doctors about my weight gain issues due to coming off the pill and none seem to be able to give me a solution. Perhaps there's a way of taking similar ingredients that the pill contains without having the pill itself, aka something you can take whilst pregnant or trying that's not harmful.
