Ok so on December 3rd (It’s now January 5th) my boyfriend and I were fooling around. At one point I got some of his precum on my fingers. I didn't think much of it and throughout the session I’m pretty sure I rubbed my hands all over a pillow and some blankets that we were using. About 20 minutes later I started to finger myself with the same hand that I got precum on.
I’m on birth control but I’m freaking out because the birth control I’m taking doesn't really let me have a period and I know when you get pregnant you’re supposed to miss your period and because of that I can’t use the whole period thing as a sign. We did NOT have sex. I am still a virgin.
For the past 3 days I have not taken my birth control and I have not been bleeding
I also have had a very sudden increase in appetite and it’s making me really scared that I might be pregnant, but I’ve heard stress can cause an increase in appetite. I have been under an extreme amount of stress lately because my father was diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago, so I’m pretty sure that would be the cause but I’m still freaking out. I also heard your nipples become sore during early pregnancy. Well only one of my nipples has been hurting but it hasn’t been sore it’s more of a burning feeling.
ALSO I’ve been doing research online and I’m confused as to whether sperm actually does die when it hit air or not. If it does, then my whole situation is resolved. But if it doesn’t, the how long does it live outside the body? I’m going to assume it dies when it dries, and like I said I’m pretty sure I rubbed my hand on some blankets and pillows.
To end my long explanation, I must ask what are my chances of getting pregnant? I apologize for my stupidity and for this stupid question. This has definitely taught me to be way more careful.

Dear LPfan
You are not likely to be pregnant.
- The fact you were on birth control means you are very unlikely to get pregnant.
- You are probably not ovulating at all.
- Sperm does not die when it hits the air. When does sperm hit the air anyway? Only when in semen or pre-ejaculatory fluid. Sperm needs fluid to swim in. They can't walk. So when you wiped your hands, the fluid was probably all transferred to the material. 20 minutes later any sperm would be struggling if not dead!
- If your fingering was just on your clit, the chances are less than if they were inserted in your vagina (you weren't specific).
Why were you on the pill if you are not being sexually active? Mor eto the point, why have you stopped taking the pill?
I think your 'symptoms' are co-incidental. An HPT would give you the extra certainty.
Hope this helps. Take care.
