On Aug. 4, 2020 I got up from my computer table and the left side of my mouth, tongue, gums and lips went numb, along with the thumb and forefinger of my left hand. No pain, just tingling like I had been to the dentist. I had a habit of sitting with my face propped on my left hand, which has been stopped.  I have been given diagnosis of carpal tunnel, even tho it was sudden with no previous symptoms, and a tia, tho nothing shoes on mri. an mri of my neck shows extruded discs 1 thru 7 in my cervical spine and a pinched nerve on the right side, with no symptoms on that side.No doctor wants to talk about a connection between my face and hand, even tho they are acting together. Happened at exactly the same time, and if one feels better so does the other, and vice versa. Again, sudden onset at the same time, and no pain at all, ever, Looking for ideas for my doctors.

Follow up on my symptoms: more than 6 months in. I now have pain and soreness in my neck, an oily, greasy taste in my mouth, kinda like paint thinner, and i constantly smell something like being in an old, abandoned, dusty house.  Tingling is slowly getting worse.  I have been diagnosed with CTS after an EMG, and a TIA for my facial tingling after 2 MRIs.  No one one is willing to address the sudden onset or the fact that both happened simultaneously. They all say there is no connection, but there has to be, because any change in one is reflected in the other. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas, I would love to hear them. I go back to the neurologist this afternoon..
