What's this red stuff? AND brown stuff? Not my period.

Okay so one time when i went to take a shower i saw what i think happened to be red tissue 'down there'. :$ and now It's gone so instead of that I have white gushy stuff along with some brown stuff,and it feels weird after i pee. o.O So i was wondering if well you know if I started my period or is it about to come? :$ Well and my mom says it's just stain's but i think it's more then 'just stain's'.It would mean a lot to me if you helped me on this one,I'm a little embarrassed to be talking about this. %-) Please give me an answer. :'(
