Okay, What if you're 14 have hit every other part of puberty have had white/clear discharge coming out of your vagina for about a year (maybe more, not too sure) and don't have your period yet. I mean I don't want my period but i was with some girls in my grade and they heard about another girl who hasn't had her period yet and started making fun of her. They were saying things like wow, is she like messed up or something?! And a lot of girls talk about their periods at this age and i always feel awkward when they are. Is this normal? and if you get liners how often are you supposed to change it?

I hav a question I'm 11 I started getting dis charge on June 7 and I feel cramps and get a load of discharge evry day I have boobs but ther like not that big and they have a hard thing in it but people at my school hav the Sam size but no hard thing and I hav hair ther and I hav 5 bros and sis and I get tired easily headache som times and cramps som Tim s. Hi everyone! Discharge - if clear or white with NO bad smell - is PERFECTLY fine and 100% natural and needed! When we are younger - way before puberty, our sexual hormones are kind of asleep (using a description that could help)! So imagine being in a REALLY deep sleep, the your mom shouts down for you to get up, you stir but you aren't really up yet, that continues for several more minutes if not half an hour then ALL of a sudden the darn alarm goes off!!! You wake up FULLY and have to get going! This is EXACTLY like your body. There was no need for the hormones to start "stiring", then around the beginning of puberty they start slowly waking up, so you will see signs (just like if you slightly open your eyes, yawn, try to stretch then fall back to sleep etc. then after awhile of stiring one day (when the alarm FINALLY goes off) you start your period - usually out of no where! then it happens in the middle of gym etc. So that is why you need to wear a pad and carry protection with you (I always tell young girls) to not wear a tampon till you are a little bit older and used to your discharge! Some girls are lucky and have very little bleeding, others - like I did - FLOOD, that's when you DEFINITELY need a tampon! So DEFINITELY have a couple of panty liners and pads with you! Change your pads everyday - you should start showering EVERY day - to keep your hygiene good! As you go into puberty your body starts secreting oil and other scents, so keep your body and skin clean! The discharge is just hormones that are starting to lubricate your vagina etc. So those discharges are TOTALLY fine as long as they dont smell bad - like eggs. You can keep secretions under control with showering an wearing a pantliner and replace as needed but at least once a day! Hope this helps u girls! Honey, there is NOTHING to be scared about, what you are going through she went through too! She might feel a bit awkward bringing it up to you! So just ask to have a private discussion with her! And say mom I'm starting to need panty liners, can you buy them for me? Also I think I need a bra - for good support, would you mind going shopping with me for one? I think she would feel proud and honored that her little girl is turning into a woman and coming to her for advice! I didn't with my mother as I was raised in a VIOLENT home, but I had my friends moms etc. So IF yours and your mothers relationship is as complicated and negative as mine was, I would suggest talking to a good girlfriends mom, or an aunt or even grandma! Some woman in your life that can offer you good advice and help you at this wonderful and special time! You can ask me ANY question too OK honey? What if you have already started your period and still getting the white stuff?

TOTALLY normal - you will always have it, til you reach menopause then a big concern is the drying out of the vaginal wall! Guest - this is TOTALLY normal, you might even notice that one month it's more the next not so much - also check to see if it really happens 14 days before your period is due - this is from Ovulation - so it is a needed thing in a womans body! Just like saliva in the mouth IF your vaginal wall is dry and mother nature didn't give us lubrication, we would NOT be able to hve sex, giving birth would almost kill you and you would tear ALL the time! So just know it's OK!

mm - when you said that you pull it out, is this 14 days before your period is due or ALL the time? It sounds like you are EXTREMELY dehydrated, so increase WATER intake - not pop etc. just pure water. and this should make a difference!
