Hi, I'm 14 years old and have had ADD as long as I can remember. My current dose of Concerta is 54 mg. Along with 0.25 mg's of Risperdal.

I get straight A's at school and I'm even taking Algabra 1 as an 8th grader.

I'm really starting to wonder if I need that strong of a dose of Concerta. There have been days when I have not taken it and have not noticed any differences in my thinking or behavior. But sometimes when I don't take my medication, I will get very angry at very little things and also have a huge appatite. Sometimes I'm just relaxed and don't have a worry in the world without my medicine. It just doesn't make sense.

My dad can tell if I havn't taken it due to my huge appatite. I will eat about 3 times as much as normal. I'll eat 3 packs of Ramen Noodles for breakfast, then take my pill and lose all my hunger for the rest of the day.

I guess my real question is why does the effects from not taking it contrast each other so much and is my dosage too high.

BTW, I'm 5'10" and weigh 162 pounds, Male. Just so you know.
