Hi! Are there any people who can answer my diabetes related questions on this forum? That would be just great! Urine tests for glucose are involved in the diagnostic process for diabetic nephropathy, isn't it? I really want to know what the reason is for glucose to be excreted through urine in diabetic nephropathy?

In the first place diabetic nephropathy is an issue of kidney failure, which is the reason for the large amounts of glucose in the urine, I suppose. I mean, when the kidneys cannot process that properly any longer, then of course such things would happen. I could be wrong, though.
