I have started with Lodine XL 2 weeks ago. My physician has prescribed me lodine because of arthritis. As this drug affects hormones that are associated with inflammatory reaction, I wonder if that would cause gaining weight? I mean, because hormonal disorder. Would I gain weight while taking Lodine XL? Im already a bit on weight so dont feel very comfortable with using drug like this.

Lodine is non-steroidal antiinflamatory drug and do not cause gaining weight. These hormones that are affected by lodine have nothing with appetite control and metabolism. Rapid gaining weight associated to swelling is serious condition that should be immediately reported to doctor. But it is kind of very rare allergic reaction on drug that is theoretically possible.
