I'm 16, and for the past week i've been having these pains in my head. It started from the back of my eye and the pain is now all around my head/brain. I've been really tired to a point i'm in school and I can't even understand what's going on around me. The pain in my head got so tense last night I couldn't help but cry and hold a cold rag over my head. When I wake up in the mornings I have terrible nasua but it eventually goes away through out that day. At night when I close my eyes to go to sleep I see these really bright lights, like car lights shinning at my eyes. I've only taken advil, but that didn't work at all. My family doesn't really have the money to go to a useless doctor right now, so any idea what this could be or what kinda doctor i need to see?

it is very unlikly that you have a brain tumor. I would suggest it is a sinus problem. try taking like 4 ibuprofen and 2 benedryl and see if the pain subsides. try talking with your school nurse about it if you do not have the money they may be able to help

This sound to me like a real migraine attack. They last this long and can cause nausea, dizziness and things like bright spots, lights or other similar visual “effects”. There is no point at all in taking Benedryl – it’s a medicine for allergies and it doesn’t have anything that resembles a pain killer. Maybe it could make you sleepy. Taking four ibuprofens once maybe could ease a pain a little, but not so much since Advil didn’t help and it contains ibuprofen, too. I know how it hurts, but don’t take more than two, there isn’t much difference. That much of ibuprofen could just add to your nausea. Try Tylenol, or maybe someone can think of something better. Seeing a school nurse is a good idea, also, in a case of a migraine regular family doctor can also help and prescribe you medication.
