I have always had problems with my periods as long as I can remember, but after the birth of my son they changed. I went 6 months without one then had one for 2 days. Everything would be okay for like 4 days then I would start again and it would last 2 weeks this time. I might stop for like a day and a half and then pick back up for a week and then not have one for like 3 months. It then got normal for a while until one time I had one for a total of 5 weeks. I went to the health department since I do not have insurance on myself and they said I was fine and that my body was still adapting after the baby. So they gave me some birth control. I took it for one and a half months and had to stop. When I stopped for that one week I had horrible debilitating cramps and I was nearly gushing blood off and on for the whole week. I literally lived in the bathroom. I started taking the birth control again and it didn't stop so I just stopped taking it all together. After another week of this I stopped. I waited like 4 days before I had sex with my husband, which started it back up again, but for only 3 days. It has been 9 months since then and my son is almost 3. I am now on a cycle that has lasted a total of 3 months and I do not know what to do. I have clots the size of golf balls, but I am told that is normal. I can't have sex with my husband because anytime I do I start my period again. I have waited a week and a half in between before, but it never fails. Does anyone know what I can do or what is wrong with me?

Sorry I also forgot to leave in the fact that I am always tired, but I can't sleep half the time or I sleep all the time. I just figured it was because I was bleeding so much, but I figured I would add this in. Thank You.

For those of you who choose to read this I am just adding an update. I finally ended my period 5 days ago. So far so good. I am actually able to have sex with my husband, but I have this constant unnerving fear that this period of all periods will soon come back to haunt me I am not sure if there is really anything I can do about it other than to sit around and worry. If anyone out there has any possible answers please let me know. I feel so alone in all this. I know of no one who has periods this long and I have looked everywhere. I can only find 2 months or less and I just do not feel that it is quiet the same. Anywho, Thank for looking and good health.
