Xanax xr is extended release formulation of the medication. That means that it should be used less frequently for the same efficacy. The other brand names are tranax, tafil, alplax, restyl-that’s what I know. Stability of drug is related to its ‘best before’ date, I guess. And different manufacturer can add different inactive ingredients that have influence on the stability of the drug.
