A friend of mine has a father who is diagnosed with dementia. He asks me to find something about any exercises for dementia. His father is on the beginning of an illness. Perhaps there are some exercises that can reduce symptoms of the disease. So are there any exercises for dementia?

Exercises are very good for the delaying and reducing ability problems associated with dementia. Also it can help with to slow decline in behavior and communication. This program of exercises must include the elements of aerobic exercises, resistance training and flexibility and balance exercise. Hello there. First of all I am very sorry that your friend has to deal with this condition. Although it is very good thing that the illness is at the beginning and that is caught very early so the exercises you were mentioning could delaying severe symptoms of this illness.

First of all, you need to consult his doctor to check how your friend’s father health is in general and did he have some other, physical, problems which could prevent him to do exercises. When you get answer to these questions you can consult with the doctor about the best program for your friend’s father and this program should include aerobic exercises as well as balance exercises and this will be helpful later.
