Hello all,
I have found your very informative site today and since I have just began running again I need to ask some questions. I am 17 years old and am joing the Canadian military this summer. I have recently started running again on a regular basis. Right now I am running 2.4 km almost everyday. (2.4 km is the distance they use to time you to see if your fit enough). Right now I am running the 2.4 km in about 10 minutes on average. Since I have just started up again I can tell my legs need some work. the other thing is I would like to start going longer distances, but i'm not sure how to approach it. any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance! :D

I agree. To get you stronger for the 2.4k, you should run longer. It'll really help your times for your target distance.
