I did breast reduction recently. There was a serious complication, my nipples lost blood supply. It seems that my nipple is moved and channels which conduct the blood to my nipples can’t carry enough blood now. What doest it mean? Are they going to do reconstruction of the nipples?

Well that can happen for many reasons. It has been shown that when the blood supply of the nipple only comes through the pedicle there is often an actual increase in a flow of blood. I think that first they have to release the stitches around the nipple that will prevent kinks in the veins and arteries of the nipple. But if that doesn’t work surgeon may decided to re-open the breast. Reconstruction is needed only if the nipple supply is seriously damaged. I am sure everything is going to be ok
