Sounds like you answered your own question my friend. Sounds like the dreaded "roids" to me. If they are small and almost to where you really can't feel them, you can get some good relief with over the counter stuff like, Preperation H or Tucks medicated pads.
If they happen to pop out when you move your bowels, you can (ok, sounds kinda gross) push them back in. Sometimes they stay in the anus and will bleed and feel irritated, still use Prep H. If you could catch them early on, the medication will help to shrink them down to nothing. The Tucks pads are little square pads that are moistened with a cooling agent. Fold it in half and tuck it into your, umm...butt crack tight to your anus. The cooling feeling will help to relieve any discomfort you may have. Keep the area clean and dry, soaking in a warm bath helps the discomfort. Try to avoid getting constipated as well. Passing large stool is real uncomfortable. If you become a bit constipated, you can try a stool softner like Dulcolax or Miralax. Stay away from a full blown laxative unless you get severly backed up. If they are large enough to where you are in constant pain, forgo the Prep H and see your doctor.
