small lump near anus, not painful, doctor looked at it said it was not hemorrhoid, but since then i have also had black stool, sometimes two toned, light brown on one side and black down one side. occasionaly a bit of blood on paper after going to the bathroom. should i request to see a specalist or is it nothing major?

i recommend you see a different doctor, it's not normal to have a lump there.

I don’t think that the lumps and the appearance of your stool are connected. Did this doctor say what the bumps could be? Did this doc refer you to any other doctor to have these lumps checked? It sounds a bit irresponsible just to dismiss you like that without sending you further or without giving you any input.

If the lump is coming out of the anus, it could be a polyp and would need further evaluation. The small bump could also be some kind of a sexually transmitted disease like herpes or a wart. It could be an ordinary cysts or inflamed pimple depending on the looks. Inflamed pimples usually hurt especially when you sit on them or rub against them.

Black stool could be indicating blood somewhere in the gastrointestinal tract and bleeding after bowel movements is not good either. You should see a gastroenterologist and have your symptoms checked. Bleeding from the anus always requires evaluation.
