broken patella recovery- no surgery

After reading this topic, I decided to share my pattela fracture wit you.I was running and slipped on wet mud at the 14th of november 2017,my knee hit a rock and pattela was broken ,I normally walk up my place and went to a hospital.Thanks god it was no displacement fracture but tissue around was damaged so I got a lot of medicament like injection clexane which I must apply every day for minimalize of thromboses while knee not moves and antibioticks for case if some infection get into the wound and fracture itself VERY DANGEROUS.I got brace from ankle to crotch.I can bear weight on leg and I do so cause I think it helps in future theraphy.
FIRST day was paintful,second day it's better. In 4 days I am going to hospital for checking out my fracture heal well.Anyone gets such many medicaments I got?

2/4/2018 i broke my left patella dr suggested surgery but i did not have the money opted for pop iam wondering shall recover well without going through surgery

I broke my patella called inferior pole break and displaced. Ortho surgeon simply wanted to operate to remove the broken piece, saying the lower piece was not big enough to repair to the bone, Also usually surgery is indicated when one cannot extend the leg. Between the fall to day of surgery I was then able to extend my leg, some pain and swelling getting a bit better. I became uncomfortable with surgery and feared long term problem of patella baja which impact ROM. Anyway, just before was to go under the knife I got cold feet. I wanted repair or proof repair could not be done, Got another dr. who just said follow the first dr. BY the x-ray it did look at thought the piece was big enough to repair. They wanted me to go by their word. Was in total misery both emotionally and physically. Now I saw the PA, 1 month post break. PA tells me now the broken piece is growing bone and attaching itself to the upper patella!!? Shocked and asked how could this be with displaced break and surgery recommended? She said we did not think it would fuse...They say no surgery can be done now without breaking the attaching bone?! I am pretty upset. At no time did dr. ever fully inform me, of all options etc. Has anyone heard of this? When displaced patella fuses back to upper patella? What are the LT consequences? They just say little and go to physical therapy!! HELP, I wanted surgical repair, not lower pole removal? I feared a shortened patella, now I face an elongated patella! They just said they did not expect this?!?!?

Hi, I had a steroid injection to the right knee for Patellar tendinitis nearly 2 weeks ago. Should I be able to return to sport now, or should I wait a bit longer?
