I noticed that I have small bumps near the opening of my vagina. I am expecting my first child and routinely examine my vagina in the mirror, somewhat as a way of preparation.
About four days ago I made a startling discovery. I noticed one large fleshy bump near my vagina opening. I looked again a few days later and upon closer examination I saw several more, although they are smaller. I feel no pain, itching, or irritation[. BUT then I ran my nail against the large one today and it started bleeding A LOT more than one would expect one of those little bumps to. I'm fearful that my boyfriend/father of my child recently gave me HERPES. Although I am not suffering from many of the symptoms. I won't be able to see a doctor until Tuesday and I'm petrified. CAN ANYONE HELP? DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR? I really don't want my trust for my boyfriend to become the very thing that makes our child ill.

i too find these small bumps with no symptoms. the irritation will accur if you do touch/ rub them. but seeing a doctor will be your best bet. also (note: this could be weird) but ask your boyfriend/father if he has had any bumps or irritation himself. being open and honest with your partner especially with this kinda stuff is crucial especially with a baby on the way. because if you do have vaginal herpes as the baby is being born it could rub off onto the baby during birth. so talk to a doctor, your boyfriend, and anyone else who you think might be helpful.
