Hey..

For the past week or so I have felt a burning feeling in my penis, especially when urinating. I've also noticed some discharge come out (most every time I look) and it looks like semen (cloudy but not sticky).

Can this be some sort of STD? Anyone experience anything like this?

I went to my doctor and he proscribed some anti-biotic medication. I am starting on them today. However, even if the stinging goes away, I will have the thought of an STD lurking in my mind. Should I do any tests?

Thank You[/list]

It could be an STD or the regular bacteria. Although it is hard for regular bacteria to end up in the urinary tract since urethra in males is very long.

Hasn't your doctor done any tests? You should have asked him about the cause.

I don't know what to tell you, it doesn't seem right to me to prescribe an antibiotic without an exam although it is quite possible doctors do that.

You should ask him everything during your follow up!

I agree that this guy should do some tests. I mean, any guy should do a test when he notices that he doesn't have a normal penile discharge. Anyway, it can be chlamydia or gonorrhea. Also, you may deal with trichomonas infections especially because we do know that they are very common infections that may cause penile discharge that you are dealing with. Also, a penile discharge can be caused by genital herpes. So, I think that the best thing for you to do is to check what this is causing you. I had an STD and I am dealing with it now as well.

Hi,
Its very possible that it could be an std, that is the symptoms of Clapse,
but also you could have a kidney, bladder, urethra infection, or you could be having some prostate problems.
Go back to your doctor and have him do a culture of the discharge. That is pretty much the best way for them to know exactly whats going on.

I have had this recurring every other month for at least 10 years. I have been to the doctor twice but he can't find anything. One doctor told me "it is normal". I have been tested for STD's but nothing. I am scared that I Typhoid Mary and infecting everyone I am with. Been in paid for more than 24 hours now so I am looking in to it again. Normally the pain goes away after a couple of hours. I think it is seasonal, with the worst pain being in the summer.

I have had kidney stones getting stuck in my urethra once and had them surgically removed, and I have a theory that the pain I have regularly are small stones passing and scratching my urethra. Just a theory.

This is a sign of either chlamydia or gonorrhea, which cant be detected in blood tests !
you should see your doctor immediately, for anyone having the discharge from the penis, and bu rning while urinating.
it is a serious matter which can cause long term effects like being blind in the eye.
it is also easily cured (chlamydia)
Good luck
