I am a 25 yr old female, and I had just sharp pain in my right breast that it woke me up last night. I've never had much of any breast pain, I think from developing too quickly in puberty. Anyway, it kept hurting for about 20 min then died down, but since then both of them have been tender to the touch and almost have a burning sensation in them.

I was diagnosed with bronchitis yesterday and placed on antibotics but nothing of this nature is listed on possible side effects. I'm on Ortho-cyclen and have been for about 2 yrs and have not had breast tenderness before. I've had a rather unusual cycle this month with spotting for 10 days before my period then got by period but it was short (2.5 days; my guess from being sick and lying down all day). This (my period) was this past Sat-Mon afternoon, so it started a week ago.

I guess my question is could the pain be from a hormonal imbalance from a screwy cycle? I know that most breast cancers don't cause pain, at least not like this, and given my age my chances of breast cancer are slim, but it still has me worried. Any ideas?
