My first time posting. Orgrin of swelling was brought about from use of cortisteriods for injury to the piriformis muscle. Swelling appeared within 15/20 mintues that followed the final series of 6 injections which were done once a wk.
My PCP later referred to it as lymephedema. It was never present before. Swelling became a problem and to present day. I feel this substances beneath has to be so what a stagant engima It isn't water,in my opinion it may be an accuminlation of fat from the medication used. Doctor's havn't suggested anything as a matter of fact they basically have alwayed ignored it.
Any suggestions would be appeciated.

You might want to try getting some massages, which might move the substance out of the muscle and increase the blood flow and circulation to the area. Also, do a good detox of the cells and tissues that will also move the drug out. Flora Essence Tea is a good overall detox for cells and tissue. Good Luck!! Doctors and drugs and surgeries are not cures and cause other problems - and the doctor just comes up with a stupid label to put on his mistake to make it sound good. I don't know why they are being allowed to continue with their practices - not healhy for people at all.

kangacarol, I am new to this board so bear with me please. Thank you for your input, but the swelling is fat caused by the steroids. So, any kind of message to the area might only allow the fat to redistribute itself...and it does it on its own. By the way the fat is not in the muscle, sorry if I made it sound so. The fat is in many areas throughout my body. Steroids are known to accumlate fat in places not usally common place in or on the surface of the body.To give you an example 'humpback", and 'supraclavical fat pads' are most common place but I also have many other locations. No, doctor, has ever suggested a detrox....but thanks for your suggestion of Flora tea. Your absolutely right ..theres to many ways doctors are protected..they make mistakes and continue practice..with just a lap on the wrist. Anyways thanks again for your reply.

Carol, I am sorry for my delayed respnse to your reply. Frankly I didn't know how to use this message board correctly . I had tryed messages early on but it didn't do anything. Besides my doctors weren't helpful in the least. Their main objective seemed to be ignore her and she'll forget WHAT HAPPENED... or just make her think THE SEROIDS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ACCUMINATED FAT AND SHE'S. 'WRONG'.I realize dr's and meds are not a cure all...but aleast a doctor should at least warn the patient of the adverse side effect and let the patient deside if they want to take the high risk...I know for a fact I would have refused the drug had I known it would destroy my health my life..my well being. Your doctor my appear to be your friend ...but when something goes VERY wrong they will be your wrost emeny. Kenalog 40 should be pulled from marketing for me it was nothing less then poison to my system. Thank u for replying.
