hello. can anybody tell me if you can ovulate without having a period. i,ve recently come off the depo jab in the hope that we can start trying for a baby, i,ve read lots of write ups about the depo and the bad experiences many people have had, i didn t know all these things could happen - i was never informed by my nurse. i can relate to many a things such as tender breast and really nasty mood swings- i am not impressed at all, do i have to wait until my period returns before i can conceive. i have only been off the depo for three weeks and already angry at what having this jab could have done to my body, i,ve been on the depo for 2.5 years ?

Hi Julie! Don't worry, our bodies are AMAZING things and they can get you back to normal as quickly as they can! So please know that when you come off of any birth control, it can take about 1 - 3 months for everything to get back to normal! Start taking prenatal vitamins - this not only helps with the babies development but also increases your fertility! You need to ovulate to get a period, so you could actually be ovulating right now and then get your period in the next 2 weeks! MOST doctors want you to wait till your period comes on - so then they can determine when you conceived! so keep that in mind too OK? Good luck and health honey!
