I had my grade 3 hemmeroid banded this morning at 8:30, and it hurt like HELL. I have taken about 8 lortab since it was done, the pain was terrible. I've been in bed much of the time. I took some stool softener and fiber.
At 11pm, I went to bed. At 2:3o am, I needed to have a BM which is strange time for me. It came out soft- but I noticed the band was in the bowl. Isn't it too soon for it to fall off? Less than 24 hours?
I did not see any sign of the hemmeroid itself, and the pain is still there. I am worried the band came off but not the hemmeroid. Any one know???

The band has come off one of them, the hemmaroid did not come off that soon, the band just came off, probably because you had a bm soon after the banding. Didn't you do a prep before hand it ususally takes 2 days after a prep before you have a bm. doubt they will do another banding right now. Take tylenol extra strength every 4 hours while you are having pain, and cease the other pain klillers.
See how it goes with the other banded ones, and let them know if you have issues that one came off.

I only had one banded. There is no prep with this method. The literature says the hemm will fall off in 1-7 days.
I had another BM this morning, and it was streaked with blood. I tried to feel around to see if the hemm was still there but cannot tell.
I hope I didn't go through this for nothing :(
