I had rubber band ligation treatment for two internal hemorrhoids on 12/1/09 (TWELVE days ago). I have been in pain since the procedure was performed. Initially it was a steady pressure like I had to go. After about a week it only hurt when I walked, coughed or had a BM. When having the BM the pain was EXCRUCIATING!! I think one of the hemorrhoids fell off on 12/10 as I had a very bloody stool. However, the pain when going BM is STILL EXCRUCIATING!!! I am supposed to go back next month for one more. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN. THIS HAS BEEN A VERY PAINFUL PROCEDURE AND I TRULY WISH I NEVER WOULD HAVE DONE IT!! How long will this pain continue? I was told they would fall off in 6-10 days and pain would end in a week or so. I do take metamucil to loosen the stool. Some days, like today, have been very bad and I am back to taking vicodin which is providing very little relief. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROCEDURE TO ANYONE!!!
