For 2 plus years she has had chronic stomach pain frequenctly accompanied by sudden listlessness for a few days with headache and sometimes lowgrade fever. She has been experiencing pain in the legs, shoulder joints, back, knees and recently developed numbeness of the entire arms and swelling of the hands. The knee joints have been injured very easily and are now often swollen with water on them. Hands and feet are constantly sweating. She experiences frequent chest pains and pains below the diaphram. She began becoming out of breath with heavy physical exertion and has been put on an inhaler which is used before sports. She is in excellent physical condition. Her stomach is always tender to the touch and she experiences bloating after meals.
She has been diagnosed with sever's disease and osgood slaughters but will not stop activities for any period of time. She is actively involved in club volleyball and wants to play soccer. At this time she is down for 2 weeks and just finishing week one of that dr's order.
I am concerned about Lupus, Lyme disease and the unknown.
Her recent basic blood work (checking for anemia and blood count) was good as so was a recent urine test to see if she was processing protein correctly.
Help I need to know what to say to the HMO dr's....
