Coming up 19 weeks since I had a Copeland on my left shoulder plus an ACJ resection. In considerable pain, possibly from massive nerve damage and muscle damage. Is it possible for the nerves to regenerate? Can damaged muscle regenerate?

My ROM is pathetic: 40% on a good day and 25% on a bad (very painful) day. That is half what I had pre-surgery - 70% on a bad day 90% on a good day. 8-|

Physio therapist says he cannot do anything more for me that the operation was 'poor'. Another physio opines:'Worst shoulder surgery ever in her hands!'

What might a realistic prognosis be for getting back to some normalcy and a painfree life - I have to live on meds. I am normally a very active person, and strong: *could hump 85lb bales of hay, 65lb bales of shavings etc etc now...?? Can't even hold a mug of tea in an extended hand. Sigh.

Thank you.
