Hello, folks. I have been suffering from arrythmia for years. I must admit that I am not a hard case. I will have to go for a root canal treatment and I am little afraid this might agravate arrythmia. Is this possible? What do you think? I would gladly hear your opinion. Thanks.

Hello. I had similar problems last year. I had to go to root canal treatment. Before that, I had had a mild arrhythmia. After this procedure, my arrhythmia got worse. I have read somewhere that the most probable cause for this is epinephrine in Novocain. Novocain is a local anesthetic that is used in this procedure. Epinephrine is added in order to stop the bleeding from blood vessels. I suggest you to talk with the doctor or your dentist to see whether this is possible to be avoided. I hope you’ll find something.
